Your $20 donation will reserve the Puma Pride Rock for a 24 hour period. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be earmarked for future enhancements to outdoor and play structures. As always, your support of our wonderful school is appreciated! We can't do it without you.
Puma pride rock RESERVATION guidelines + regulations
To reserve Puma Pride Rock, you must submit your $20 payment at our Sign Up Genius (reservations links are located at the bottom of the page). Please include the message you wish to paint on the rock in the comments. This is the only way to make reservations for Puma Pride Rock.
Reservations are first come, first serve. To ensure your desired date, please reserve as early as you can. We ask for your understanding that with 180 school days and 700 students, your preferred date might not be available.
Your reservation begins at 4:00 PM the night before your preferred date. You may paint Puma Pride Rock between 4:00 and 6:00 PM the day prior to your date. Your reservation ends at 3:59 PM on your preferred date. After that time, the next reservation may begin painting. For example, if your reservation is on a Tuesday, you may decorate between 4:00 and 6:00 PM on Monday afternoon. Puma Pride Rock reservations for Mondays may be painted between 4:00 and 6:00 PM the prior Friday.
You may reserve Puma Pride Rock for a maximum of two consecutive days at a time. No exceptions. No person, team, event or business may be the subject of Puma Pride Rock for more than three days per calendar month. Anyone not abiding by this rule will have their reservation canceled without refund.
Sorry, there are NO REFUNDS. If you are unable to paint Puma Pride Rock as reserved (due to illness, moving, schedule conflict or any other reason), you are free to trade, offer or sell your time to another Puma parent, teacher, staff member or business partner. The PCES PTA will not be involved in or responsible for any secondary transactions. If the weather is inclement, please bring your ponchos and umbrellas to paint.
Families, groups, business partners or organizations are responsible for providing their own paint supplies and labor. Spray paint is prohibited on campus. You may only use standard paints (no chemicals, glue, puffy paint, etc).
Families, groups, business partners or organizations assume liability for any individual or member of the group who may be injured or incur damage to clothing or personal property during painting. Please stay out of the street and driveway and off the curb and stay on the grassy area while painting. Please cover and protect any personal items you do not want damaged by paint.
PUMA PRIDE ROCK MESSAGE GUIDELINES + REGULATIONS
Your Puma Pride Rock message must be tasteful and free of any foul or vulgar language, discriminatory, religious and/or political statements and symbols. Profanity and obscenities are not permitted. Keep it positive!
Please follow the Character Pillars of St. Johns County while creating your message. Your words should reflect the positive nature of our school community. Let's use this rock to promote encouragement, well wishes and good will.
Puma Pride Rock operates on the honor system. Let's all do our part to adhere to the guidelines and keep this fun for years to come.
PUMA PRIDE ROCK PAINTING GUIDELINES + REGULATIONS
The families, groups, teams, business partners or organization who reserve the rock are 100% responsible for supplying and cleaning up all painting materials.
You may ONLY PAINT THE TWO FRONT SURFACES OF THE ROCK. Painting the ground, trees, sidewalks, curb, lamp posts and buildings is strictly prohibited. Any damage or destruction to the surrounding areas or building is the sole responsibility of the families, groups, teams, business partners or organizations and they will be financially liable for cleaning and prepare. Do not paint the grass, mulch or anything but the two front surfaces of Puma Pride Rock.
We recommend the following:
Latex exterior paint (2-3 quarts of one color for background, quarts of other colors for lettering or designs). SPRAY PAINT IS NOT PERMITTED ON CAMPUS.
Paint roller for rough surfaces for full coverage of the front two surfaces
Small brushes or sponge brushes (1"-2") for lettering or details
Chalk to sketch out your lettering and design before painting
Tarps or drop cloth to cover ground around Puma Pride Rock
Contractor trash bags to remove all items used during your painting session. All painting supplies must be disposed of at home and not on school property. Please dispose of all paint cans and leftover paint properly per county regulations.
